Once again the great British viewing public demonstrate they have the memory of a goldfish and do not know what a catchphrase is. Brian Potter only said, "Garlic bread, I've tasted it. It's the future," once.

And what about "Yeah, I know" from little britain. It's now impossible to say without repeating it again in a stupid voice.

It always gets me that people vote the greatest ........... of all time tend to be the latest one they've heard. Glad to see some of the older ones still up there, to me that's more a mark of a great catchphrase if it still goes on even after the original source is long gone.
Starscream`s Ghost
Hence Tommy Cooper (still one of the funniest men of all time IMHO) being in there. I swear, that man could make me laugh by doing nothing.

Just as an aside, I don`t think it could be considered a catchphrase as it was only said once, but Eric Morecambe`s "I`m playing all the RIGHT notes, but not necessarily in the right order" is one of the funniest comedy lines EVER. biggrin.gif
