You know, I really need to watch the Zomb-O-Meter...

...I'll wait until my signed DVD comes in!
architecto
lol, the second album I bought was Michael Jackson's Thriller.

the first album I bought was Michael Jackson's Bad.

which is just as well, because the third album I bought was Jason Donovan's Ten Good Reasons...

I think it was Skankin' Pickle Fever.
beatoswald
it was rage against the machine's 2nd album 'evil empire'. though technically my mum bought it as i was quite young.
Lazlo Woodbine
Hmm, that's quite tough. I think it might have been The River by Bruce Springsteen but there's a fair chance it was a Queen album. I can't remember what order i got any of my early records. Not even 100% certain about the 1st one.
spookytwigg
I think the second album I bought was "Freak show" by silver chair... The first one was "life is peachy" by korn I think... Twas a long time ago tongue.gif
Starscream`s Ghost
2nd album I ever bought was a "Spot" records production of a Masters of the Universe spoken word adventure. No kidding, it was a vinyl LP.

I was 10, though. And I think I still have it somewhere, shame I have no record player to play it on.
SpaceSickPip
I dont think I can remember the second album I ever bought wacko.gif shame . . .

Just before I answer this, reading the last couple of posts i have to say that i feel old!

think it was Alanis Morrissette Jagged Little Pill. Say what you like about it but i think it is a brilliant album and one that i still listen to every now and again!
Cult_Status02
Holy shit Star SCream!!! I think I have that! Is the record itself like an image of he-man kicking ass? I never listened to it, but I wonder if that's it. And lazlo, are you strickly a Queen guy, or do you like Styxx too, but they rule more than Queen...yea, I said it!

Well they arn't really a band i listen to much. Not that i don't like them anymore , it's just i'd rather put on something else. And i no longer have a record player, which would make it fairly tricky even if i so desired.

Second album...Ah! Dangerous by Michael Jackson. And may I say, it is still bitchin'!

I think I was like, nine years old or something.

Oh, and as for original pressings (while we're on the subject) I've got one of Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual...also still bitchin'.
Justincredible
man, i should have thought back harder... i put that my second album was Silverchair-frogstomp (the first was the Mortal Kombat movie soundtrack! haha!) but those were the first i PERSONALLY bought. I think the second album I ever received was...probably MC Hammer's Too Legit to Quit, or something by the Beach Boys. sweet.
whixie
Not too sure. I think it was Space. I didn't buy music for ages. I used to love Tommy Scott. It was Space or AC/DC anyway!

That`s exactly it. He-Man swinging his battle-axe, and Skeletor cowering in fear.

The voices, btw, bore no resemblance to the cartoon, Skeletor`s being very low, and quite scary, really. (I WAS 10.)

dog man star by suede. because i had an older sister whose records i used to steal, and a mother with impeccable musical tastes. so - from birth to the age of 11 i listened to my mums beatles albums, jimi hendrix, pink floyd, janis joplin and eric clapton when he had spunk. then i stole my sisters records, but she got annoyed and didn't like suede so i had to buy it myself.

the first one was enyas debut. i got it when i was 11 for being the cleverest girl in my junior school.
Libby from America
the second album that I bought was Big Sounds of the 70's or something like that... the back said "For good boys and girls to listen too..." I thought it was awesome...

YOU feel old?????????

Then what should I feel like? rotten maybe..........

My second album was "The 5.98$ Garage Days Re-revisited" by MetallicA back in `87, and I was turning 14 at that time.

OK, I´m an old man, still not grandpa, but I´ll be an uncle in about two months biggrin.gif

I'd just like to point out something:

Where does it say all the actors second albums purchased? I only saw Simon's.
Justincredible
you have to watch the whole zomb-o-meter track. it will just randomly pop up one of the actors and tell about their second album ever purchased. Its almost a running gag for the zomb-o-meter, referencing the part where Shaun's disk gets chucked out the window by Pete as he exclaims "that's the second album I ever bought". I mean it keeps showing the actors second albums all the way through the movie. I remember some were even in the bar scene at the end. Couldn't tell you each individual one though... although that might give me an excuse to watch the movie again... hmmm.... happy.gif

I never knew Silverchair were that popular outside of Australia!

I think the second album I owned was Tears for Fears but I didn't buy that - I got it with a record voucher which someone gave me for my 9th birthday.

Probably the 2nd album I actually *bought* myself was Bananarama or something like that.

Cheers

Either Van Halen's Diver Down or Duran Duran's Rio, whichever one the checkout chick rang up second. I bought them at the same time.

Technicality? Oh, I don't care... wink.gif
John of the Dead
For me, it's 'The Persistence of Time' by Anthrax.

How's about the rest of you?
Gramsci
Second tape I bought was either Kiss - Love Gun or Alice Cooper - Constrictor, can't quite remember. But the first one was Twisted Sister - Come out and play.
And I had that Simpsons tape as well. I loved Homers song. "Born under a bad sign. If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all." Ahh..the memories.

Second CD I bought was Accept - Objection Overruled.

Second vinyl was Dead Kennedys - Nazi punks fuck off 7"
Julie
Oh man, this is gonna hurt...

Second vinyl: I believe it was some sort of Muppets album bought from the 'spends' my nan gave me every week.

Second tape: Joey Lawrence. Yes, from Blossom. He put out a tape, and I bought it, right after I bought the Scorpions Winds of Change single on tape. Wow...

Second CD: I believe Step by Step by New Kids on the Block.

You can all stop respecting me now smile.gif

Edit: I also had that Simpsons tape. "Now here's an epilogue to my tale of badness, I was dragged down the street by his royal dadness..." Classic!

2nd CD I ever bought was The Invisible Band by Travis.

To date I have only bought 1 vinyl record which was 'Cold Wind' by The Arcade Fire on 7'' a few months back.
Ade
The second album I ever bought would have been The Essential Jean-Michel Jarre. On Cassette.

And funnily enough, the second CD album I ever bought genuinely was the Batman soundtrack by Prince.
Sostie
2nd LP was DANCE CRAZE Soundtrack - live recording of Specials, Beat, Madness etc

2nd CD was The Wonder Stuff - 8 Legged Groove Machine
