Did anybody else watch this when it was on or indeed get the DVD or book?

In case nobody realises what this was take a look:

I thought this series was so good. I was so upset when they finally made it to New York!

What an amazing journey. Was so amazing to watch. Imagine going 20,000 miles on a BMW bike in such dodgy but amazing places. Was seriously cool and distressing in places too.

I loved it! Anybody else?

Not seen it myself but I have two friends who rate it very highly - I'll be borrowing the DVD off of one of them when I get the chance smile.gif

It was fucking brilliant.
I saw it all last week on some digital channel at 2am every night. I was so addicted by the time it ended. (and slightly in love with both of them, but that's beside the point).
It was somehow worth it even just to watch Ewan's beard getting progressively longer as the trip went on. And I almost feel inspired to take a motorbike around the world myself, almost.

I've read the book and got the dvd. It's great, although it's given me really itchy feet now and I want to go travelling again. My mate was out in Mongolia a couple of years ago and the photos and stories he has are incredible, I'd love to go.

Must say the excessive Stereophonics was starting to chafe my eardrums after a while, though.

Yeah me too.

Is there a lot of extras on the DVD? I don't have it as yet.

I would love to get the book too. I bet it's full of cool stories (and no Stereophonics in the background smile.gif).

There's a few extra sequences that I guess got cut for time, which are about 5 minutes long each - not huge. Plus a post-trip interview.

The book's cool - there's more detail about the different bits of the trip, how the idea came about, the people and stuff, plus it gives you more of an insight cos it's written by them - like them getting pissed off or arguing, what they were thinking about and stuff...
