My friend and I are racking our collective brains to think of the name of this movie. It is an 80s kid movie, and the rough synopsis goes like this:

Kid has a dream about a computer device and creates it from junk.

It makes this bubble thing that can go really fast. one of the kids uses it to peek into a girls bedroom. They hide it in a fairground or something.

They then make a spaceship out of stuff and fly to space where they meet some aliens who watch earth TV and think we speak like that.

I know there are some seriously buff film buffs on the forum, so who can help?

Just hi-jacking the thread here for my own personal gain: Did anyone ever see Solarbabies (or Solarwarriors)? Nobody I know has ever heard of it but I loved it as a kid (even though it was pretty shit). It had Lukas Haas in it and possibly Jason Patric.

Oh, fantastic - I knew you guys would know it. Thanks.

Hey Whixie - I think I know Solar Warriors - was it a bit like a kid's 'Rollerball'?

Wow!

Really odd, but I keep thinking I must start of a thread about, well, this exact film, but keep forgetting!

Top film "That's the stuff that dreams are made of." and so on.

Yes, literally! They were all on rollerblades and there was a weird glowing ball.
