I saw an episode of Crank Yankers at work the other day. (I'd never heard of it either)
It was Hillarious!
It's a prank phone call show. It's american. - Any americans here know what I'm on about? There are some brilliant piss takes on it.
It's cleverly done too. The audio is of the wind-up phone call, & the video is each end of the conversation being 'acted out' by muppets.

I just check the listing on IMDB. There's been at least 2 series already.

Finally Sky have bought something thats actually funny.
I think we'll all see it on air in a few months, & then everybody'll be talking about it.

You mark my words...

It's ok, but guess who's a part of it?

Jimmy Kimmel

The clusterfuck who ragged on Simon!

But as I said, the show definitely has it's highs and lows. Hit or miss comedy, in my opinion.

Who? huh.gif

The episode I saw was great. It was the one with the guy phoning up the record store & asking for a song: "Do-do do do do do do eugh ... Yaaaay!"
"Hey Lady.."
"Lady?"

Jimmy Kimmel is a late-night talk show host here in America.

Recently, Simon and Nick were doing those DVD signings in america, and Simon went on his show.

Needless to say, Simon got ragged on hardcore for being british.

There's a thread in the CASTWATCH area that has some videos I uploaded...

This has been around here for at least a year now. It has become so popular that lots of celebrities like to be on it. Eminem loves the show.

really??? what did jimmy kimmel say to simon? I mean was he intentionally trying to put him down? that sucks.

crank yankers is kinda old actually. I used to make those prank calls to people when i was in college tho. haha lots of fun...until the night i acidentally joked on a girl whose dad had died... long story that is.

I read about Crank Yankers when I was tyring to find info on 'That's My Bush'. Still havent got round to downloading any for the simple reason of being on lame ass dial up. Doh.

I like that show. It's been airing for quiet a while, maybe even more than a year here in Germany.

It has been around for a while. It started in 2002.
But it's never been shown in the UK (that I know of), so no-one here's heard of it. I only saw it last week. & was So impressed that something from the US could be so funny, I just had to tell my fellow spaced mates that it's coming. Look out for it.
