I agree, but from what I work out, it has nothing to do with SotD. So I'm moving this to Music, as I think it's about someones band. tongue.gif

Guitar Wolf are the stars of the first RomZomCom ! Albeit the term didnt exist when it came out. Actually its more of a Rock'n'RollRomZomCom

They make brilliant Japenese punk records and they are one of the greatest live bands I have ever seen.

Check out the band and check out the film. They rawk

There were quite a few bands on Adam and Joe go Tokyo . One I really like was Hoover Over. The only problem I've found is getting hold of this music. I haven't found many english sites that feature japanese bands and certainly no one to buy the CD's from. Anybody got any suggestions.
Did you also know that Guitar Wolf plays on the Puffy AmiYumi theme to the Teen Titans show.

I got my Hoover Oover CDs from Yesasia.com . Warning...their CD does not contain (at least what was out when I ordered it) the song (Connection) they played on Adam & Joe. The site did have it on single Cd though.

You are sooo lucky to have seen them play live. I think they only did two shows in the Uk last year (London and Brighton) but I couldn't get along to either of them sad.gif Do you know if they have planned for this year ??

I'd certainly recommend Plus-Tech Squeeze Box, who played in the last episode. Their album Fakevox is available from UK retailers, and their follow-up album Cartooom! (released in Japan last summer - got it the day of release when I got to Japan) can be purchase from the Sur La Plage website (the distributors of the UK edition of their first album).

Also Cornelius is available on Amazon etc., as featured from time to time on Adam and Joe (and Spaced of course). And Supercar was also mentioned, and I have thier 2000 album called Futurama, which is very good.

Wild Zero is an absolute masterpiece of a film, and I'll go out on a limb and say I preferred it to SoTD sad.gif

"Run Wolf Run" is a great Guitar Wolf album...give Boredoms a try if you like them.

Thee Michelle Gun Elephant were recommended to me recently by a record shop where I bought Guitar Wolf's Loverock album. Apparently they are EXTREMELY loud live. Can you recommend any particular albums?
