I just got a call from Channel 4... They may be interested in having me on... I applied last year and just got a call out of the blue...
Wonder what they *could* have in store for me...

How exciting and sort of terrifying...
Rather you and all that!

I know someone who did that - he had quite a gruelling time but it really changed his life. Good luck with the selection process!
You're into battle re-enactment, aren't you? Maybe they'll ask you to pose as a genuine soldier.

Maybe they'll go the complete opposite and ask me to be a convincing missionary...

Ooh, how exciting. If you do get on, you have to come and spill the beans on the production process.

Hell yeah... I'll even see if I can get the Spaced Forum mentioned!
This, of course, is if anything happens!

Excellent! Let's hope you don't have to do anything involving tranvestites.

My only worry is that I am jobhunting at the moment... Imagine what would happen if I found a new job, just started and then got picked!

If I applied for Faking It, I would have no idea which career they'd stick me in. Its usually one extreme to another, but I don't really see myself being in any extreme so as to be completely whacked out about something. I'd be game for anything really!

Feb 23 2005, 05:37 PM
They'd probably ask you to be bland!

That's so weird, I just got an email through work asking if any usherettes with an interest in classical music want to be on Faking It. I'm not sure that I'd do it. It doesn't say exactly what would happen.

Did you ever hear anything? They are advertising at work for Air Traffic Controllers 30 and under to apply, though they don't say what you'd be doing.

I knew some other people who were being asked about applying...they wanted musicians, so they asked my friend Jay who is a singing student at the Royal Academy. She didn't want to apply though, said she'd be too scared!

Good luck on that Svein. I'm thinking of jobs that are generally given to non-hairy people for some reason, but none are springing to mind.
