Shaun of the Dead claimed to be the first 'romzomcom' - but this isn't true! Braindead, made in 1992, was, as the tagline put it - 'the story of a boy, a girl, and their power tools', and actually had a fair bit of emphasis on the love story...er....until all the party guests turned into zombies. and then the lawnmower came out...
are there any other pre-Shaun romzomcoms?
or some planned ones for the future...? SOTD really opened up the genre....

The upcoming Corpse Bride is one innit? Oh, and Dellamorte Dellamore is definitely rom, zom and com.

actually, my husband said pretty much the same thing a coupla weeks ago. after all, Lionel and Pachita do become 'romantically entangled'

Also, 1993's My Boyfriend's Back (wow, that's the second time I've mentioned that one today!), though not worthy of sitting on the same shelf as the aforementioned films. It's not a good film by any stretch of the imagination, but it does have zombies, and some awkward teenage romance (or at least, awkward teenage lust).

Basic synopsis: Johnny likes Missy. Johnny wants to ask Missy to the prom, but is afraid to. Missy works at corner shop. Johnny goes in there one day, just as Missy is getting robbed. Johnny foils robbery, but in the process gets shot. With his dying breath, he asks her to the dance, and, in the heat of the moment, she agrees. Of course, Johnny is by now quite living-impaired, but no matter; he intends to keep the date. To this end, he rises from his grave, only to discover just how hard it is to be a walking corpse...

It's really not worth seeking out, but it's at least worth mentioning.

I don't know if it's supposed to be funny, but it sure as hell is, but Wild Zero is a RomZomCom in my eyes.
