Friend who has a rather nasty rash, Doctor . . . "

I can post some photos of him dressed up if you want me to proove it's not me...
He doesn't actually have sex dressed as an animal (though I'm not sure how much of that is down to him not finding someone willing) and he doesn't dress up much (I think he prefers himself to be human and the other to be an animal), but he does have an alarming amount of porn of Amy Rose, Maid Marion etc.
And among all his action figures in his room are many animal figure, none of which I touch.

As in, his hard drive is full of it, and it's things like mice being raped in half by a human penis, so a little from column a, little from column b.

I wouldn't say that at all.
There have been a lot of articles from the rest of the cast and crew as well (most notably from JJ Abrams), you are seeing a lot of Simon only comments on here because I have linked to them (for obvious reasons).
Simon has had a lot of interviews over the summer, what with the US release of Run, Fat Boy, Run, the US release of the Spaced DVD and now with the release of How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, and naturally he has been asked about Trek at the same time, hence the number of articles, but that's all it is.

I think it's the more anal fans that call themselves Trekkers, hoping that it will give them a degree of credibility over Trekkies.
Of course, what they don't understand is that there is no credibility in being a Star Trek fan anyway, so it doesn't really matter what you call yourself . . .

I have some "issues" with the design of the bridge - they kept the original look of the uniforms, whilst updating them to give a more contemporary feel, but they have gone and compltely redesigned the bridge.
Nick argued that they could have done the same thing with the bridge that they have done with the uniforms - keep the same basic design, just construct them with contemporary materials.
Still looking forward to this - as a recovering Star Trek fan...

Kev WI think the bridge will make more sense once there's a proper overview of what it looks like rather than just from a couple of angles. It's all looking good to me.

I agree, from the pictures I've seen so far you can't really see more than part of a bulkhead or part of a screen so how can people really tell?!
Crutch
Oct 17 2008, 12:17 PM
And we shouldn't forget that they even totally re-created the bridge for the old movies as well. The first Star Trek movie looks nothing like there ever was in Star Trek before or afterwards and it still worked back then.

First look at the new Enterprise.
Looks like the movie version saucer with a stylised secondary hull and warp engines stuck on. It may be the perspective, but the proportions look wrong to me. Really need to see it on screen to get a better idea of what it looks like.

I stopped reading them halfway through as they were spectacularly spoilery spoilers. I've made a decision to avoid trailers from now on (unless its something like Watchmen in which I already know the plot) as they do nothing but ruin the film. Even simple things like you see on the trailer a monster in a desert (for example), when you're watching the film in the cinema and the characters wander into a desert you're just sat their thinking, "right, there'll be that bit with a monster in a minute" and it takes any surprise out of it.
