Shaun of the Dead has received a massive 5 nominations for this years Empire Awards. Simon Pegg has been nominated for Best British Actor. Best British Actress goes to leading lady Kate Ashfield. Best British Director nomination to Edgar Wright. Shaun also received nominations for Best British Film and the Sony Ericsson Scene of the Year Award for the record throwing sequence.
The award ceremony is being held on March 13th so best of luck to the Cast and Crew of Shaun

Brilliant! To say i want SOTD to win all of them is really biased, especialy that i love alot of the other films. If it goes away with 2 it will still be a massive acheivement, especialy for Best British Film!!

Channel 5 are showing the awards on Tuesday 15th, 10.55pm.

I'd really like to see Simon win best actor. People still think of him only as a comedian, not a Proper Actor, and it's just not faaair.

Everyone I know loves SotD but it seems to be overlooked a lot, I hope they win this.

I checked out Getty Images and there's a pic of Paddy holding his award, which told me Simon didn't win.

I want Shaun of the Dead to scoop as many of those five awards as possible but I definitely want Simon to win Best British Actor. I thought he was absolutely awesome in Shaun of the Dead and he deserves that award more than anyone else. I really hope he wins it Go Simon!

Looks like Edgar didn't win either. Paul Greengrass seems to be the winner of Best British director for Bourne Supremacy.

Im sooo relieved that it managed to get Best British Film. I swear, if it hadn't have won anything I would have went and ... been very annoyed. I am still devestated at the fact that Simon didn't win Best British Actor. How did he not win? I think its a fix to be honest. I am not being biased, because Simon is a fantastic actor - especially at the end of Shaun of the Dead.

I shall make my own awards show now, and this one will actually be fair. Who wants to help??
