I'm just curious...I just finished making a SotD T-shirt and then thought, wait, is this even legal? I mean, I'd probably do it anyway, but does any one know why if it's legal, and if not...why? Because you know if I wear that shirt somone's gonna see it, look up the film, maybe rent it, then probably buy the dvd (who wouldn't buy it after seeing it!?), so the way I see it is that I'm helping the companies. Anyway, let me know if you have some info, please. Thanks much, next is a Spaced shirt. And then a Frost in a workout suit T-shirt, man, I can't wait for the latter of those...mmmmm, I mean, uh, ew, little shorts?

I wouldn't say they are as illegal as downloading movies or mp3s and such, but seriously it's not harming anyone by making a simple shirt of your favorite show/movie.
Just don't go mass-producing them and selling them for profit. They're your own personal shirts.
I have a Nick Frost shirt, myself.

Oh yea, and thanks for the reply.

Oh man that would be funny as hell to see some one with that, I'm not really sure why though. By the way, do your friends find you wierd for liking spaced/sotd/nick so much, because mine think I'm a fool/femme for like those (except change Nick for Simon, because I like him a bit more).

Not at all, they like Spaced and Shaun as well, after I shoved it down their throats. I've told them about my site and how I've talked to him over the phone and via e-mail, they think it's pretty cool.
If they think otherwise, fuck 'em. I don't care what they think. The same goes for your friends as well.
It's like you bashing on their favorite music artists, as they (my friends) like ICP (those rapper clowns) and such. I'll listen to it no problem when it's on without complaining, but I don't listen to them myself or go around telling them they should stop what they're doing, because it's their thing.
Besides, I've spread Shaun / Spaced around with this t-shirt since people either a) go "isn't that the guy from..." or b) "who is that guy" resulting to c) me explaining

Man, at least your boys are accepting. Mine say shit like "aren't you a little too obsessed" and "it wasn't that good of a movie." Both of those basic comments are then followed by a very uncomforting look of distaste that they feel necessary to make towards me, like one of those "you're a dumb ass" faces.
Eh, it's annoying but I think they are the reason I check out this forum at least twice a day, I have people I can relate to here. I mean there's probably other people like me who just see Edgar, Simon, and Nick and idolize them. I want to write and direct my own movies, and at some times, play a roll in them. And I want to do all that with my best friends. Now I realize it's a far-fetched goal, but I am already starting by majoring in Video and Film production. In the end I feel I can't be "over-obsessed" with my idols/heros because they are inspiring me like no one else has.
That was quite a rant, sorry 'bout that.

If they don't like the stuff, that's cool, but they're just being ignorant twats if they start bashing against you.
I've got a guy at work who plain out doesn't like British altogether, so he refuses to watch Shaun or Spaced, but I don't mind, as the other people who I've shown Shaun to happened to like it.
Oddly enough, he liked 50,000 Zombies...but not the rest of 50k Volts.

Just out of curiosity, how do you make and print t-shirt designs? Wouldn't mind making a few t-shirts for myself.

I take them to a shop. Just give them the image and let them do their thing.

And is it the sort of print where it cracks and then frays off the material after many washes or is it the one where the actually cotton is dye'd?

Mine is the kind where it's got that glossy type finish.

I buy t-shirt transfer paper, and then just reverse the image and print it out. That's the kind that cracks, but they are real cheap to make, so I don't mind.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of that Shaun of the Dead T shirt Airside made?
