Has anyone been watching this on Sunday nights?
Whilst it's been re-affirming my belief that in a few years I'll look just like Paul Whitehouse (without make-up), it's also been jolly funny. Chris Langham is an under-used talent as well.
Any thoughts from you lovely happy-go-lucky folks?

Tis good, Yah.
If you like well constructed, thoughtful comedy with excellent performances, then watch this. And then Outlaws afterwards.

I rather enjoyed it. But with most programmes like these I have my favourite characters and those that I don't really like. The cab driver for one can get a little bit annoying. Altogether a good bit of telly though. The perfect way to end a nights TV in my opinion, Sunday night TV is pretty crap after 10pm.

Did any of you watch "George Orwell: A Life in Pictures" with Chris Langham? All the way through it I thought that Chris looked like one of t'olden days characters Paul does. I can't remember which character, though. It wasn't the 15th Duke or "Hailair, we're Cockneys", but the image is in my head of a character that looked similar . It might have been one from the Harry Enfield shows. Blah, anyone know what the hell I'm on about?

I can only think of the "Hailair, we're cockneys" style character now. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Fast Show one, so it might well have been early Enfield show.
Anyone who likes the self-penning of Langham should get hold of People Like Us. It's another gem that deserves a wider audience and won't get you riled up because loads of people repeat bits endlessly and in the wrong voice.

Oh, I think it might be the government propaganda like film sketches that's reminding me of him, with Chris looking a bit like Paul and Orwell doing a similar type of thing for the BBC 'n all that, possibly.
I might People Like Us. It's supposed to be a sort of cross between The Day Today and The Ruttles, yeah? (I hate describing things like that, urgh).

It's like a mockumentary, you don't see the boy Langham at all as he's the interviewer behind the camera. So I spose your description works quite well.

I'm just guessing from the reviews. I've just ordered it, I'll soon find out. It sounds great, though. Cheers for that.

Caught this last week, Langham is fantastic in it. Whitehouse is quite good an'all.

I'm in People Like Us - watch the 'Actor' ep in the second series, I play 'nonchalent bloke in theatre doorway waiting for a friend whilst the People Like Us cast and crew walk down Charing Cross Rd filming (twice)' - I'm not listed in the credits, though.

I just finished watching series 1 of People Like Us and I almost literally pissed myself but didn't. I actually saw The Managing Director and The Head Teacher back when they aired in 1999 and I remember the running gag about them not believing he was married.
You know, I've probably watched Spaced and completely forgotten I had. Probably not, though

A cheeky punt for anyone who's yet to cast their optical senses over this particular jewel in the television crown. Very well timed and simply written and laugh out loud funny.
I've also got People Like Us on DVD, but am yet to watch it. I'm very excited about watching it though, which is half the battle.
The Langham the short of it
