Out of that list, I chose Ferris... although you missed all of Tim Burton's stuff!

A limited selection. It was between Ghostbusters and BTTF but my love of MJF in the 1980s left me only one option in the end.

I had to be a bit selective, as there were so many classic films made in that decade. Went for ones that were very distinctively 80s, set in the time and all that.

Had to go for Ghostbusters as it has the best lines, but BTTF and Ferris Bueller are both up there as well!

I thought Brazil was early 90s...amazing film, although it made my head all messed up after the first time I saw it!

As I said at the beginning of the thread, I left out Empire and Jedi to get a more balanced poll. Plus, I was curious as to people's favourite films that were set specifically in and about the 80s. Hence the films I picked.

Though I dearly love Ghostbusters, I chose ET. It was a very difficult decision, but ET will always be the sentimental favourite for me. Geez, even thinking about it makes me misty.

Plus, it's got one of my favourite scores of any film in history.
