I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic but here we go...

Does anyone know whether or not these wrok? You can buy them off Ebay and they give you links to websites that are willing to send you free samples....

Apparently, you can get stuff like Ipods and dvd players etc

Anyone know if it works?

To be honest I'm not sure how e-books work.

I have seen sites that have the complete text of books on them but I've never bought an e-book so I don't know what format they come in.

Basically though I prefer paper books [/ludite]

btw, moved to Media smile.gif

We had a sixth form debate on whether or not the written word in the form of books was obsolete in this generation. The proposition for books being useless used eBooks as their main argument and they had some convincing points. Basically, from what I understood, you pay your one-off eBook price for the hardware and then download books in a very "iTunes" sort of way. There is also the option of free books from a library type resource - although there might be a subscription fee.

All in all it sounds good, but I still enjoy a good book.
