Some glasses, some match books and a coaster? So . . . huh.gif

If you're going to start thread like this it would be a good idea for you to provide a little more information about the relevance of you post - you don't want people to think you are merely seeking attention now do you? wink.gif

I thought that was the point of all my posts?

Wasn't this only open to US residents?

PS How much is the dleivery charges on items to Hawaii? It probably isn't quite as much as items to the lovely irelande du nord (£20 delivery charge on a £22 item....)

Hey, Raven, next time you feel like lashing out, why not make your post even longer. I might care. cool.gif

I was hoping there were some american Shaun Squad members on the board...but I'm going to guess there aren't. SO:

Baz knows what Shaun Squad is, so he can explain probably more.

Shaun Squad was a "fanpimp" site promoting the movie and the DVD release, it had "blogs" of the trio's adventures in America while doing various screenings of the movie along with in Australia.

During this website's existence, there were various things you could do to earn "pints", such as answering quizzes, completing challenges, or making banners/avatars. With enough pints, you could go to the store and order little goodies, like signed scripts, signed cricket bats, signed posts, soundtracks, matchbooks, the "I Got Wood" shirt, yadda yadda. Unfortunately, they only shipped to the USA, leaving the poor souls in the UK and whatnot out of the picture (hey you got your time, we get ours!). Eventually, the site closed down and all our orders were finally shipped. My stuff (along with others on my board) came, so I figured I would share it with any other members on here. That's all. Don't get so uptight.

Anything else you want to know, Raven?

What else was on offer at Shaunsquad?

I think I found out, too late, about the website. What else was on it? There's bloody loads of pics of Nick, Simon and that one dating Ash's guitarist, but were there ever little video diaries.

Simon came into the chatroom occasionally-there was generally a lot of arguments and tussles over horror films and the ever-present UK/US axis. Tis a pity the whole thing imploded in January-t'would be nice to be able to see the pics and read the diary entries even if the actual prizes thing is defunct.
frostitute
You can see the diary pics on Harmony's site, she saved them all, I only saved the ones with Nick.

I was a member and it really pissed me off that it was a site about a brilliant British film but the Americans had all the site advantages like receiving goods when they order them, bloody Americans nick every good idea!
frostitute
On behalf of America, I apologize.

I'll send you a matchbook. Friends?
rabbit57i
It was really a way to get the Americans to get the word out about the movie. They relied on word of mouth since that is really the only way a movie like that would get any notice. A lot of the tasks to gain point involved "advertising" the movie in a grass-roots way. Looks like it worked, eh?
