I'm assured that there legitimate free iPod sites. But bear in mind these companies aren't giving away stuff for the fun of it. They expect to get more out of you (one way or another) than the cost of an iPod. You may find you have a lot of pissed-off friends at the end of this.

I'm sure if you did get your 9 friends on there to get all of their friends to sign up another load of people that you would get it. It's just very hard to convince people - it's kinda like a pyramid scheme in some ways. The people at the top are likely to get one as the people on the bottom aren't because they can't find anyone who can get another 9 people etc.
