Right I've heard that the last episode of Enterprise is just a holodeck program being told to freeze, s'pposedly none of it happens, it's all a story. My source is firstly here then here and finally here

So opinion are above

I myself am alittle peeved at the lax way it has been shown / replaced by cricket on Channel 4 (Time team always shows though eh?)

Answers on a postcards please

what cricket is on channel 4? when?

i thought sky had cricket now?

Accents really don't travel well over fonts, but the last I checked (ie the last time it pissed me off) it was on channel 4, my accent could be either welsh, scots or irish for the record!

Sky took their time eh?

mind you the races spoil it just as much!

uh?

sorry, misunderstood your first post, i thought you meant there was some cricket coming up on c4.

Sorry manman, its the series Enterprise is coming to an end, and how dodgy the ending might be.

My only Jibe at C4 was the fact you couldn't depend on it being on every week due to the cricket/racing. The accent bit just meant that only an englishman understands cricket (like the hitchhikers guide) and so its even more annoying to get debunked from a Star Trek Episode.

BBC2 did it also though with Snooker, which strangely I've become a little bit of a fan thereof...hmmm.....

So Wednesdays on BBC2 ST:TNG/snooker, Sundays C4 ST:Enterprise/cricket/racing.

And people wonder why shows like this don't take off!

So back onto what I meant, yeah, there's a holodeck, did any of it happen style ending to the series with Riker and Troi......do you think thats right?

I've actually heard this one before but it would be a good idea to include a spoiler warning in the title of any post like this if you are going to give the game away . . .

I have edited the title accordingly.

Personally I think this ending shows a distinct lack of imagination of the part of Braga and Berman but hey, why change the way you write just for a finale eh? wink.gif

Abit Dallas innit?

I think after Roddenberry took off into the big nighttime good scripts were too few (and voyager was just twunt -been better if it had gotten assimilated, gone back in time and made ST : The Motion Picture abit funnier)

Cheers for the edit BTW

I would argue against that, there was a lot of good Star Trek stories post-Roddenberry but the focus of the show did move away from his initial ideals.

The problem at present is that those making the show don't know or can't seem to agree what those ideals were/are . . .

TNG will always be a big part of my life, annd DS9 had a good few moments....but voyager....well......to me that is like Dawsons Creek in Space, it's taken the Wesley/Troi/Rikers Dad toryline far too far.

I reckon I could've written better stuff for Voyager.

And Enterprise was promising, but, too many lets use the future references for my liking- they should have been exploring the galaxy for the first time, not saving it from post TNG time warriors.

But, like the Murphys...
