Dear anyone that can help sad.gif

The Learning Resources Centre [AKA: Library] at my University provide for me, each week, a projector and lead for PowerPoint Presentation. Now, during my lunch break, some F%$£*@G C#@T mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif went in to the lecture theatre and nicked the lot. I took my laptop with me, BUT rather foolishly left the mains plug lead and powerpack thingy in the room. I'm just glad i had my laptop with me...anyway. My point is: Can I buy a replacement? Will it be cheap[ish]? I can Get to Tottenham Court Road in twenty minutes if need be...but please help. Can I buy replacement? What's the official name for these leads/powerpack??? things

Any help appreciated. smile.gif

You'l need the make and model of your laptop I would guess, but they will be a specific lead and adapter i would guess. There is aloso probably the specs ON your laptop, the input voltage (after the transformer), the connecter format (positive inside, negative outside) etc and they can probably work it from that, and get you a generic model transformer.

If that helps at all.

Basically take your laptop with you if you are going somewhere.

Thanks very much for your help and info Jubei. Any idea of cost?

Cheers

Chris

*about to hot foot it to Tottenham Court Road*

Laptop adapters

There's a universal one for 34.99, or you can search by make by the looks of it.

Don't know what they're like, but it'll give you an idea of price at least.
