And another great band who were more mainstream(!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNJbJAjM5Ho

Both of these were Top Of The Pops/Kids TV/Smash Hits regulars . Strange times

And here are the kings of quiffs (and winkle pickers) with the Russian Red army Choir!!! (for Ade)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHfQZs5Yx_I

It's great when them old Ruskies join in the chorus.

I've been on a real Rollins streak lately, and this is one of Corbijn's better videos, IMO. (It's not so terribly po-faced. tongue.gif)

Henry Rollins - "Liar"

And it's a shame this is the only version of Toto Coelo's "I Eat Cannibals" on YouTube:

Talk about camp, embarrassing 80's fashion. They're wearing garbage bags, for chrissakes.

Wasn't one of them in Legs & Co.?

MANSUN - 'LEGACY'

Jamie T-Sheila

It's a rather cliched ''famous person mouths lyrics whilst walking around'' song but the famous person in question isBob Hoskins, so that raises it up a bit. Though the real gold lies in the moments when he isn't lip-synching.

That's brilliant. No one gives "good face" like Hoskins. biggrin.gif

Love the ending. Great twist, and a little bit heartbreaking.

I thought that as well. When I first saw it I was a bit dubious but as soon as his lips stop moving it becomes strangely affecting, especially the ending.

Not a 'pop' video, as such, but a brilliant performance by Nick Cave of 'There She Goes, My Beautiful World'. I've been watching it several times a day for the past week or so, it's bloody riveting stuff.

I know, the guy just has such a great presence.

That was the performance that got me into Nick Cave having not really paid attention to him before. A good deal of my student loan in first year went on his albums and I'm glad of it.

The video that first turned me on to Nick Cave. Holy shit! Nearly 20 years ago!!!.

^ Fab. Some videos simply do not date.

Unlike this one.

Now I've got Sky TV back I've also got the car-crash telly of Channel U back.

What the flip is going on with 'Ozmosis' (I think that's his name) and his bad rapping over the tune to 'Imagine'? It's laughably bad, almost like a spoof.
logger
I just watched it on youtube. Its like Chris Morris or something.

Bah ba ba bah!

Cheap and cheerful little video which was shot almost entirely in the Arts Tower of my University and, as such, really freaked me out when I caught it on TV last night.

The Long Blondes-Appropriation

A little slice of awesome, even if it's not technically a music video:

Peter Sellers-A Hard Day's Night

Transamerica Ultra Rock from Electric Eel Shock may be the first multi-music video on YouTube - a simple idea but wonderfully done. Try it for yourselves by following the instructions for the videos, and enjoy the multiscreen madness.

Yeah, and I must get myself to a gig too. Only seen them live once, and it was the most nutty entertaining gig I've ever been to. Not sure if there's a world record for amount of stage diving, venue climbing or nude drumming, but it was definitely beyond the above average mark.

Is this the most Rock video ever?. Leather. Nazi hats. Corruption of the innocence. Space ships. It's even got laser eyes in it. And check out the lyrics.

Maybe this one will work for you pots

Sticking with the 'Rushmore' theme (and why not) here is the video for Knock Yourself Out by Jon Brion from the movie 'I Heart Huckabees' and starring Jason Schwartzman and Mark Wahlberg.

I posted this ages ago, but I think I actually prefer the busker-esque version to the video.

Watch

The lyrics sound even better in this pared down version.

Here's a working link to the original and brilliant video, starring pants-dropping Marky Mark and Max Fischer.

Welcome to K-Logger were the 90's never died. So very nearly works.

After watching Human Nature today I've been tempted to look back at some of Michel Gondry's brilliant work as a music video director, including the video that formed quite a lot of the visual style of human nature.

Bjork-Human Behaviour

Daft Punk-Around The World

Massive Attack-Protection

Radiohead-Knives Out

Stereogram-Walkie Talkie Man

I can't recommend his Director's Label DVD set enough. It's by far the best and most entertaining of the seven released so far.

Gondry has done some amazing stuff. My poisonal favourite is Star Guitar - a super watch when stoned ph34r.gif

Gondry is incredible, I have a dvd of his work.

I don't know if this belongs here as it's not a music video, but here's a video of The Raconteurs covering Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy'. Oh how I love Mr White smile.gif

Perhaps I only like it for the Boglins, but Tiger Force's video for the suprisingly-much-better-than-the-rest-of-their-frankly-shit-output Syntax Error tickles me.

70's Prog Rock by Demis Rousos/Vangelis - sounded like a frightening prospect.
