In an interview in the Sunday Times Michael Palin has announced that he won't be making anymore series on the scale of Sahara or Himalaya, which I think is a pity as all of his shows that I have seen have been interesting and insightful - still, the ole chaps gotta have some time to himself!

I can understand why - he must be knackered - but it's a shame, he's the best travel writer/presenter around, bar Bill Bryson.
