Ok, I will admit this might seem like spam, as I work for her US label. But seriously, I'm curious what people in the UK think of her (she's on Truck over there). She just toured with Erasure (made me feel old when I tried to tell people how kick ass the line-up was) and is working on a new album...

i really like her. i've got peakahockahoo (i doubt thats how you spell it, but i can't be bothered to walk across my room to find the cd) and think its great. its not the kind of thing i normally listen to, but she played at a venue near me and i thought i'd find out more about her. having said that, i never actually went to see her, but wish i had.

That's exactly how I felt when we got the promo, and I lobbied for the US rights because, for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, I just goddamn loved it. She's a really sweet person too, not that that effects the music, but still.

I think she's got some more UK shows coming up, actually. We've been trying to hook her up on a US tour for a while to no avail, hopefully we can get her back over here (she's originally from Kansas) sometime...

I've just gone and looked up her website, and listened to some of the tunes. What I've heard so far is really good!
