Star Wars quotes and Private Ryan spoofs, what were your favourite bits?

For me this episode is less about individual moments and more about working as a seamless whole, from the introduction of Gramsci at the beginning to the American Werewolf pay-off at the end. Having said that, the scene where the gang line up in black to the tune of the Imperial March is one of my favourite moments of both series.

Absolutely. Tossing in what Rache had brought up before about Mike's sound effects, best part of a scene chock full of best parts.

I love the whole 'cultural exchange' bit, with Tim crying at the end of Return of the Jedi as the Ewok song plays - sadly missed in the special editions. I think its this episode in which the characters really pull together, as its the first time we see them all together since they first all meet in 1.2 and, despite the bizarre circumstances, they are all willing to resuce Colin. It really projects the show from being more than a sitcom, and the characters have really developed as a group - though its probably the next episode when they all finally seal that bond.

Thirtyhelens is right. I went to put up my detailed review after my technical last minute hitch to get in on there on Sunday morning but it won't let me.

BOT - I really like when Tim and Daisy are looking at Colin and Tim does his 'He's a ticking timebomb of death' speech.

Gah. Sorry about that - my mistake.

This whole ep is a great moment, I love it when the whole gang is together.

Tim:"Oh My God."
Brian:"What?"
Daisy:"What?"
Tim:"I've hot some fucking jaffa cakes in my coat pocket!"
And then Brian's little backward roll that follows.

I like the exchange between Twist and Daisy as they are keeping watch at the laboratory, it's a rare moment when you can see a bond between the two and gain a gain a bit more understanding as to why they are friends.

Probably the most cohesive episode of the series with a dozen stand-out moments, I particularly like the 2001 bone to Blockade Runner sequence.

Bill's delivery of ''Not really, he used the money to buy new knees''. So nonchalant it's weird.

''It's not what he is, it's what he will be, a cold blooded killer (scary music and focus on Colin). It's inevitable, just as night follows day, sure as eggs is eggs, just like every odd-numbered Star Trek movie is shit.''

I like the whole scene where Tim, Brian and Daisy are watching Star Wars and then the rescue mission.

I hadn't realised but it does contain a HECK of a lot of my all time fave Spaced bits....

Tim's speech following this is wonderful especially 'well that's how it starts, with ooohs and aaahhs, but later there's barking and biting' and also 'you will my friend, you will'. This bit has one of the best outtakes 'later there's biking and camping'.

Lastly I will mention one of my favourite commentary bits...when Edgar is describing the cameras movements of the bit starting with Tim reading the letter and ending 'we're gonna get our dog back'. That doesn't sound that good written, but I love it!

That, my friend will mash up the engine block of a Fiat Uno, no problem.
