Certainly. I love pretty much all of Rufus' work to date, but I do find sometimes that his songs don't quite match up to my expectations of them, especially if I haven't listened to them in a while. I'll stick on one of his albums remembering them as being fantastic but tend to feel a bit disappointed afterwards. I can't think of any specific songs, just a general sense of disappointment that has appeared when I've listened to his records recently. That's only with his first two albums, though. I could listen to either of the Want albums for eternity and still find them as fantastic as the first day I heard them.
It may also be due to the fact that other singer-songwriters have begun to eclipse Rufus in recent months, though I can always return to his records and find them entertaining.
Anyway, that was my line of thinking, more or less.
Now listening to:
The Sleepy Jackson-God Lead Your Soul
The Australian Beach Boys, apparently.
