I saw that the other day and thought "lazy ad agency".
And then it was followed by the ad with the airport vehicles racing to Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" but this time they used Bon Jovi's "Living On A Prayer"!
Then they had the Renault ad that had obviously been re-dubbed into English!
It was an ad break of lazy advertising.

Because the gorilla looks like it's actually drumming in time (even if it has been slowed down to fit).

I've always had a small dislike for Greggs, and still really resent them taking over what were Thurstons shops here in Leeds. Also, the quality of food went right down when the change occurred.
I cope with with that though, but I draw the line at Paddy McGuinnes adverts. He is such an unlikeable wanker.
If you're in Leeds, I recommend going to Ainsleys instead. They are far superior and they do pork pies.

That bloody dyson advert really annoys me, the one for the new dyson ball thing. I respect that Dyson invented a clever new vacuum, and the airblade is pretty cool too, but the ball advert is nonsense. Fristly, empirical evidence would suggest that the currenjt vacuum design is perfectly good, as we've been using them for decades and our floors aren't inches thick with dust. Secondly, a hoover rolls on two main wheels, not two axles, so it can pivot fine as it is. Thidly, rooms are square edged, you hoover up and down. Who has a wave shaped room that needs a vacuum that can curve gracefully around. It's a gimmick.

Hmm - having that plebian McGuinness fronting Greggs really hits home how downmarket they are going in terms of their target audience.
It's a pity that Greggs can't have Scotch pies south of the border, as I had the odd one or two of them when I used to pop up to Edinburgh - granted, they weren't "proper" Scotch pies (the proper ones are to die for), but they were pretty satisfying.
As for commercials I can't stand - car insurance ones usually piss me off; I don't drive and I hate the patronising and smug tones they generally have.

I think one's Erin O'connor (smug bint-face) and one's Elizabeth Jagger (pretty ginger-ish), but I'm only going from the Christmas ad of last year.
Also, the music on the new m&s ad is incongruous.

She reminds me of the alien girl in that playstation ad a few years ago.
Currently, I really like the nutrigrain ads - 'I'm a baker, I bake things' and 'oveny bakey cakeyness'. They make me smile every time they are on. The new Hovis ad is good too.

The puppets in the Dolmio adverts. Why?
They are not funny. They are not cute. They do nothing to enhance the chances of buying the product - are puppets inherently linked with pasta sauce? But worst of all, their mouths hardly move when they talk. They are shit puppets.
