It would be triple dipping for me.
Although.. I could always sell the 2 copies I already have and just buy this one.
Just kinda annoyed no one mentioned this earlier.
Also. Who is "Commentary with Edgar Wright & Guest"?

I would imagine no one mentioned this earlier because no one knew it was going to happen; sounds a lot like Universal backtracking after the WalMart debacle and finally getting it into their skulls that there is a real demand over here for the second disc.
Of course, w/ the extended Fuzzball Rally, it's a must-have. I'm going to be giving away some used copies of Hot Fuzz as stocking stuffers for Xmas, I see....
The new commentary is interesting, though. Hmmm... wonder who around here could shed any light on the matter....?

Ahem, that's exactly what happened. I wasn't crazy about releasing a single disc only in the U.S. and was even less crazy about the whole Wal Mart thing. I didn't even
know about that until two weeks before release.
So now that a full version
is being released, I'd like to make sure any double dippers are rewarded with some new bits and bobs. Which are so new, we haven't done them...yet.
No nefarious masterplan to fleece fans. Not from me anyhow.
But you didn't hear me say any of that.

We would never have accused you of fleecing for a moment, Mr Rice.
Well, this has made me very grateful that I was
given my 2
Hot Fuzz DVDs (by 2 lovely & generous Spaced-Outers); otherwise I'd be very upset about having to double dip with money I don't have!
If this new version is coming out late November, I just may be able to swing it financially by then.
Goodness me, I've never owned 2 copies of
any DVD or video in my life, let alone 3!!!
Feel the love.

Heya Joe. I finally got my copy of the US Hot Fuzz DVD and just wanted to say that the Fuzzball rally is pure genius! I loved every minute. So when will we be able to see the 3 hour director's cut? - Sarah(AC)
QUOTE (JoeCornish)
Thanks Sarah (AC), I'm very glad you enjoyed it. Just this morning Edgar, Simon, Nick and myself recorded a commentary for a 70 minute cut that's going on the forthcoming, three disc, double-dip-licious edition of Hot Fuzz (US only). There's also going to be an exciting, mystery-guest commentary on the main feature, as well as everything that was on the UK release that wasn't on the US. Plus a limited edition that comes with either a full sized, fully functioning police car or an actual severed human head.

I don't really know why I mentioned all that, it has no point.
While I'm talking drivel - I actually mentioned "Pirate Maths" to someone at work today.

His directorial skills are fine, but, personally, I find him to be intensely grating.
