Looks like I have to buy another copy for the Tarantino commentary.

If they didn't release the 3 disk in the UK it'd be all wrong.

I'm looking forward to a 4 disc UK version. Hopefully with a David Arnold commentary. If there is a film that needs a soundtrack commentary it's this one. Oh and a Forum Members Commentary smile.gif

Man that slick police handbook thingymajig looks awesome. Gonna have to start saving pennies.

Region 1 gets all the good DVD releases, it irritates the hell out of me.

They are rewarding the Americans for having to suffer & put out money for the original R1 one disk earlier this year AND having to set foot into Walmart to get some of the extras that the R2 version had. They made a mistake & this is them saying they are sorry.

I also think it's an excuse/opportunity for Edgar to add more interesting stuff since all the other releases.

Not all of them. We still don't have any Spaced boxsets, as far as I know. And, with the dollar currently sucking more and more each day, it costs a heck of a lot to import one from over there.

Oh, so it's definitely Tarantino who is the "mystery guest commentator"? Cool. cool.gif

*sigh* As usual, I have to wait a little while to be in a good financial postion to afford the latest Hot Fuzz disc-y goodness. rolleyes.gif Early in the new year, is my guess (unless I manage to get a new credit card!). biggrin.gif It's worth the wait, though! And at least I'll be able to order Big Nothing along with it, & possibly even Run Fat Boy Run if it's available by then! happy.gif

Feel the (Hot Fuzz) love.

hehe. It's paired with Live Free or Die Hard on those double deals on Amazon. happy.gif

I can hear it now . . .

This is the subject of much jokery on the Fuzzball Rally commentary.

Oh, yeah, I rememember her she's great... we should get her on the next commentary we're recording in six weeks.

...and we'll see you again on the next commentary, in a month's time.

What's missing is more Statham
thirtyhelens
We'd have to drop the 'Hot' from the title then, though. 'Jason Statham in... FUZZ!"

That doesn't sound like the forum folks I know!
Surely we'd all be debating about stuff and discussing the deeper meaning and symolism in the references?

No?

I envisage quoting line-for-line, interspersed with giggling fits and jokes unrelated to the movie that feature references to boobs and balls.

Who wouldn't want to listen to that?
Omniscia
And cryptic references to some obscure in-joke involving someone or something called "Milky Thursday."

I knew we wouldn't make it past the first murder without someone mentioning Total Recall...

I strongly suspect that the first five minutes would be dominated by: "Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
Omniscia
If this film is missing anything -- besides the Stath -- that would otherwise guarantee its perfection, it's a Bill Murray cameo.

This is why Dan would be banned from the commentary booth. "It's all a dream" my ass.

I'm not really interested in this film, who wants to look at photos of me wearing funny hats and pointing at animals or comment on my new jacket?

There could be a few minutes of just grunting noises as you give one of your "demonstrations"

Dolfyn would probably say mostly all the same stuff I would say anyway - so it's really much of a muchness. So to speak.

It's actually all fake.

My name is really Miguel, and I live in a small shed just outside San Paulo. All the pictures of me at meets that you may have seen have been achieved using a clever combination of hypnosis, mirrors and green screen effects.

Downsy is the name of my budgerigar.

Does anyone know anything about another UK DVD release? I was just having a quick look at what's on Amazon UK's future DVD releases and they've got a Hot Fuzz DVD release due for release on 17th December. No picture of it though.

Aw, sorry Sis! I didn't mean to leave you out. sad.gif Of course you'll have to come with me so we can understand each other's jokes! happy.gif (eg. Humming along to The Late Show muzac in the supermarket, & saying "I can still see you up that treeee" after the "I know who did it" line, etc) wink.gif

That'll explain why - somewhat illogically - I've just bought the 2-disc version from Amazon for less than a fiver.

I just got my Hot Fuzz 3-disk set today! cool.gif Woo hoo! I only ordered it 2 weeks ago! My Big Nothing DVD also happened to arrive from the UK today, too. I'm off to watch the Simon-y goodness.... biggrin.gif
