Didn't you just attend the New York equivalent of this?

Therefore forfeiting the right to be jealous you lucky madam.
thirtyhelens
Fucking cock! - the thing's nearly sold out ALREADY!

Nabbed four tickets way at the back, though. Convenient considering that Siran and I were planning to stumble over to the Cat after work, gas up, and then see the 8:00 show at the Arclight anyway. Heeee. (I grabbed two more tickets for Ben and Lisa, as well, even though they haven't said whether or not they can make it over the hill in time yet. Bet Lisa at least will hot-foot it through the Cahuenga Pass....)
Julie
Give 'em a big thanks for me from Toronto, Nic! I didn't get the chance to while they were here!
AusChick
Brilliant!

Jealousy rising, rising......fading.

OK, I'm good now.
Have a blast!!

Can't wait to hear about it - as ever.

I'm getting used to this whole vicarious living thing.

Oh, and if Ben & Lisa can't make it - let me know and I'll hop that Melbourne-LAX flight tomorrow.
Anyone care to contribute to the Sarah's plane ticket fund? wink.gif
thirtyhelens
I'll get on the horn to Travolta right now. He owns an ex-Qantas jet, you know. Jammy git.

*puts on her Thetan-blocker goggles and picks up the receiver*
AusChick
Hehehe Nice work Nic!
And yeah, he's like The Face of Qantas these days.

I can't believe I actually went to the Qantas site and looked at flights.
I think I'd better go and check myself in for some kind of therapy now.
mcraigclark
Have a great time, Nic! I can't believe Edgar's able to stand after all the touring they've done. I assumed he'd already winged his way back to London.
thirtyhelens
Nope, all three of 'em are in it for the long haul. Lovely bastards.

Having admitted his lust for Sarah Silverman on the blog a few posts back (and who can blame him?), I can only assume that while Simon and Nick are doing Kimmel on Wednesday, Edgar will be taking advantage of Jimmy's distraction to seduce Sarah and run away with her to Mexico.

Except he's got to do the Q&A's on Friday. There went that theory...

I spend some time in LA.

And by that, I mean I watch the A-Team on DVD.

You know, they shot The A-Team in my neighborhood quite frequently when I was a kid.

Meeting Mr. T when you're eight years old is as close to meeting God as you'll get.

Imagine if you met him, and Hulk Hogan was there too? That'd be like meeting God and Jesus.

Hang on though...Hogan and Jesus do have a similar look...and I've never seen a picture of them together...

Now I think I truly understand the concept of 'Hulkamania'.

I don't think my tiny third-grade mind could have handled it.

I did, however, meet Perry King when they were shooting Riptide. Is that like meeting God and John the Baptist?

Yes, yes it is.

And meeting Mr T with Peppard would be like meeting God and a very embittered actor well past his prime.

I saw the A-Team stunt show at Universal Studios when I was 10yo.
Does that count?

No, I thought as much.

Well I'm already jealous of the lucky few that'll probably run into them in the streets. I hope they get to enjoy their stay in New York this time around though... since it'll probably be a bit less hectic than when they were here for the screenings.
AusChick
Yeah it would be nice if they have the chance for a little R & R time.
I can't even begin to imagine how completely knackered they must be by now!

Man, I want to go back to the Cat. It's probably not that great in reality, but a few pints of wofe-beater and an excess of raspberry vodka, I remember it with a certain rose (or raspberry) tinted fondness. *sigh*
dolfyn
Aw! sad.gif Edgar, why can't you guys come back to Melbourne?! We're still waiting to buy you all a drink. cool.gif

Also, I've done my good fan-ly duty by going to see Hot Fuzz 7 times at the cinema in the past month! blush.gif (The first one was at the Melbourne Q&A, of course!) You're lucky I don't have a life! rolleyes.gif heheheee.

Heh - the Cat's not all that, but it's homey. It's boozy-home. laugh.gif My expat friends like it because it's *not* theme-y like some of the pubs on the Westside, and the food is pretty decent. The real draw of course is that patio, which is the best place to hang on a warm summer night. (The back patio at Boardner's is a close second, but it's not quite the same....)
