It could be worse, he could be making multiple spin offs CSI style.

Tourchwood: Acton or Tourchwood: Newton Abbot anyone?
Starscream`s Ghost
I think he should make a sitcom about the gang after they're stopped chasing aliens.

Set in a dry cleaners, it'd be called:

Wait for it....

Torching Cloth.

For a few weeks now Doctor Who is running in German television. The German version isn't even bad. It's in fact really well translated into German, even if they made the Sonic Screwdriver into a "Überschallsschraubber" meaning "Super Sonic Screwdriver" - so you can say, that the German version is even better than the original.  wink.gif

I am really pleased with it, especially  the German version of Heroes was done so badly. They translated even the Japanese bits and killed the subtitles these ignorants. And the rest sounds like a mix of Bollywood and a porn-movie. But that's off topic.

I hear it's been pulled after 6 or 7 episodes, do you know why? (or even if that is true!).

There's a rumour floating around that Paul O' Grady is to guest star in the next series.

That will be a Russell Davis episode then . . .

As much as I respect him as an actor, I just don't see him as The Doctor...

I think the next Doctor should be someone a wee bit older...

I woz robbed. I bought The Dalek Collection thinking it'd be the collected DW Dalek stories. I sat down to watch the first DVD last night, only to find it was some 1960's film starring Peter Cushing and Roy Castle.

The only redeeming feature were the multi-colour daleks (I want...).

But it made me think back to last week's Torchwood. If Martha's immune to high levels of radiation because of all the time travelling she's done, how come the Peter Cushing manifestation of the Doctor suffered from radiation sickness?

And whatever happened to the St John Ambulance sticker on the Tardis door?

Because the Cushing Doctor is an alternate universe manifestation.

Really.

He's some old codger who made a time machine in his shed.

Indeed he is... His name is even "Doctor Who"... It was supposed to be loosely based on the first Dalek Story...

However, it is (to this day) the only time that The Doctor has appeared on the big screen.

Except Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D, of course . . .

Maybe he's trying to forget it.

I know I do that.
Raven
I prefer it to the original, the story - and the Daleks - are better.

Her face does look somewhat different. I want to say "thinner" but I don't think that's the best way she describe it.

She looks like she's doing the Zoolander pose.

That would be amazing! I wonder if it'll be a pain in the ass to get it here in the states.

It's probably been mentioned already but since I'm new..anyone else slightly put off by the cheesy pinstripe duo that the Doctor and Donna seem to be in all the promo pics?

Not I.

Following The Runaway Bride I think they are going to play off each other very well (that still remains to be seen, of course, but I'm willing to keep an open mind at this point).

Before anyone gets too excited.

It's be nice as a Live Arcade/PSNetwork/Wii downloadable thing but at around £15 a pop I'd rather just buy the cards.

As a result of the news that there was a Doctor Who game in development one of the best ideas I've heard suggested as to an actual Doctor Who game had it play out in a non-canon story where the current Doctor dies and you regenerate into a user created version of the Doctor who you take through a KoTOR/Mass Effect style action RPG.
