Probably Jonathan Nolan's involvement as one of the screenwriters. Let's just hope he's as good without his brother as he has been with him.
Huh, apparently Paul Haggis and Shawn Ryan co-wrote the screenplay as well. I'm slightly less worried about the film now, though only if Vic Mackey shows up at some point and shoves a Terminator's face into an oven grill.

Oh Sostie, I forgot to tell you yesterday that we delivered two cars to a film shoot...that turned out to be '13', the Stath's newest film.
Sadly, my guy didn't get to see him otherwise he was going to get his autograph for you. Next time.

Oh my! I don't suppose you'd want to sell one of the car seats he uses?
If your guy doesn't catch The Stath, just look who else is in the cast he may bump into. It's pretty impressive

Some of the stuff about the camps remind me of a lot of stories that I've heard about the IRA over the years of bungled jobs & so on.
In particular one involving a note from Mummy.

Just going off tangent for a moment, I'm surprised that Ron Perlman and Tom Waits have never been cast as brothers in anything. Maybe even adding Will Ferrell into the mix as a third.

Is seems Mickey Rourke has been added to the Iron Man 2 cast. He'll play Whiplash. Seeing that Whiplash is male, and Samuel L Jackson is Fury, the Iron Man films seem to have their feet set firmly in the Ultimates universe.
But even more exciting. The cast for Stallone's The Expendables is now:
Mickey Rourke
Sylvester Stallone
Jason Statham
Forest Whitaker
Sandra Bullock (rumored)
Jet Li
Dolph Lundgren
Robert Knepper (rumored)
(Info taken from IMDB)

I've heard some good things about Seven Pounds this week, even though the trailer feels as though it has to warn us that it contains 'emotionally intense scenes'. Almost as ridiculous as 'mild peril'.

I've seen that on the trailers. Logical progression would suggest that Michael Bay trailers could come with the following warning: This film will not affect or engage you in any capacity.

I'm really liking the sound of Michael Mann's forthcoming 1930's mobster flick, Public Enemies, which boasts Johnny Depp as the notorious bank robber John Dillinger. Christian Bale as the Federal Bureau man hunting Dillinger and his gangster mob down makes for an enticing prospect indeed..
I wonder if the soundtrack with feature the gramophone equivalent of 'My Uzi Weighs A Ton'?

Really? I've heard nothing but bad, to the extent that I read the Wikipedia plot synopsis, rather than watch the film. Though it does mean I won't get to use the line ''Seven Pounds? That's about what you'll waste watching this.''
