QUOTE (Michael Bay)
I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating Transformers 3 - they asked me on the phone - I said yes to July 4 - but for 2012 - whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots.

Where The Wild Things Are Trailer

^ Holy shit. It might really, really be worth the wait. Eeeep.

Please say I'm not the only one who appreciates the fact that the Wild Things have the body physicality of very large Muppets, i.e. they don't look entirely real, however their facial expressions are very photorealistic? That seems just right IMO.

Totally. It really seems like something that a child would create from their own imagination; constructed from images they know in life, i.e., muppets, but with a reality of their own added into it.

I picked up the book for the first time since I was about 6 last year and I was surprised by how slight it was. Looks like they've really beefed it up for the film version and that could go very much in its favour. I am glad that Jonze seems to finally have wrangled all the various powers that be and actually got the film done and a seemingly concrete release date set. I've been looking forward to this film for a good two years now and I was starting to think it'd never happen.

Now if someone could find their way to releasing The goddamn Road sometime before the worls actually resembles that of The Road then I'll be happy.

Ooooooh, It seems to be set straight after the first one, possibly with the SWATs going in. It has Manuela Velasco in it, which seems weird, unless she's a zombie now. They really need to keep the first person POV which is what made the first film so special.

In other news:

The work print of Wolverine that's been leaked to the interweb is getting the fans excited. I wonder if this is some kind of ploy to build up buzz for the actual release. I think I'll still wait til it comes out on Sky Movies to see it, though.

I think the general consensus has been that it's good but the way in which the Weinsteins treated it and the troubled production has marred it somewhat.

Some of it looks good (Ethan Suplee as Harry Knowles) but I think the amount of in jokes would drive me mad in the end.

I believe there were rumours of his involvement. He may be too busy with the forthcoming Ray Winstone/Michael "It should have been The Stath instead" Fassbender version of The Sweeney.

Actually, Danny Dyer as Goody's fella Jack would have been perfect.

"Wall Street" sequel confirmed.

I'm not at all opposed to this, actually. So long as it's more The Color of Money, and less The Two Jakes.
