Part of my Christmas bonus (that didn't go into savings, Scotch, or add'l Kiva loans) went to the Deadwood box set, on sale at Best Buy this week. Plus, I had some RewardZone certificates to help defray the cost.
This show had better live up to its reputation!

It absolutely is, in fact the only time my expectations have been more than met in television.

One of the local CD/video stores is going out of business, so everything is 50% off... I stopped there again, tonight, on the way home from work, primarily to pick up a used copy of Homicide: Life on the Streets Season Five (for $7.50), but also grabbed Black Sheep while I was at it.

I thought it was pretty good and definitely better than the live-action movies. The only things that annoyed me were the not-so-great voice-to-lip syncs and Leon and Claire not having much screen time together that I had hoped for.
Leon acted different from he did in Resident Evil 4 and this is supposed to take place between RE4 and RE5. I wonder what's up with the mood change?
I also watched the trailers in the bonus section for RE5 and I will definitely be getting the game now for sure! The trailer where
Chris and Wesker fight was AWESOME!One more thing. I read online that there is a trailer
where there is a grave with Jill's name on it. Is that true? I hope not.

I've been looking to pick The Mighty Boosh up for a while. I've caught a few episodes here and there, by various means, and have liked what I've seen.
So, when I saw that HMV has the 6-disc, three-season box set on sale for £13.99 (as opposed to the 7-disc, three-season box set for £25.99 and the two-season box set for £18.99), I figured it was now or never. With the delivery, it came to the equivalent of $27.02. That's not so bad, considering the price you'd have to pay on Amazon or eBay for a used copy.
Of course, it's back-ordered, but they claim they'll get more within a week...
