With 3 weeks to go, we are issuing a final call for all you zombie wannabes out there to come and join our legions of the living dead. It is especially urgent that we find some volunteers for Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th June for filming at Ealing Studios. Am due to join the legions of undead on Tuesday and Wednesday. I can just see the look on my boss's face when I tell him on Monday I'm taking two days off work to be a zombie...

I really wish I could do this, how cool would it be?! But alas I can't make it, next week is incredibly hectic.

Who else is doing this and when? I'm trying to get as many of us together so we can make everyone feel really self concious because we all know each other and stuff. Come on, you know you want to....

'Raaay! I'll also be lurching along there this Monday and Tuesday. Considering smuggling in a new costume for myself as I'm not really fancying the idea of sitting around in the heat of a studio in the 8 inch thick woollen jacket - the making of which must've seen all the sheep in Wales stripped naked - which was presented to me at the last filming days.

Well, I was in a rather fashionable zip up, new season O Neil which I grew so fond of I nicked it.



So I imagine I'll be punished for that by having to wear shite...

Well I'm a complete newbie here so I don't know anyone, but I'm going on Tuesday and Wednesday... I'd be going Monday but I thought it would at least be polite to tell my boss I'm taking a few days off!

Curiously enough, being a zombie for a day will be arguably more human than my current job as an evil, cold-hearted, bloodsucking government minion!

Yeah, I was given a Hooch one at one of the other days and considered doing the same. But when I had my photo taken in it by the sneaky keepers of the wardrobe, I thought they might notice it was missing and then I'd get hunted down.

From what James told me, theres a scene involving a pub (dont get your hopes up its actually in a studio, but hey the SPACED studio had real working Pegg frying toasters...) and their need zombies walking past windows.

probably crowd scenes as well like on the poster.

oh yeah we're also going to stand around doing nout for a bit.

Am supposed to be going along tomorrow and wednesday with a couple of pals - confirmed this with James on Friday, but I don't know what time we're supposed to get there or what we need to wear or anything cos James hasn't called me back yet. Keep getting his answer phone!!

Ok you have to be there for 6am. You don't NEED to be there for that time but cause there are so many other zombies to be made up it takes about 2 hours to do everyone so they try and get you all there as early as poss. The later you get there the further down the make up queue you will be. Make sure you are there before about 9 though.. or you'll miss breakfast!

You have to wear neutral colours (lighter ones are good as the blood shows up) but nothing bright, red, no black or white and no logos. Don't worry though they have ready-bloodied costumes there if you can't find anything. If you do wear your own clothes make sure you don't mind getting them a bit stained. the blood comes out but just to be on the safe side...

EDIT: just remembered, take a toothbrush and some face wipes if you have them. They provide the wipes but there is usually a mad rush and you might want to take a mirror too as they won't let you leave with the make up on. Also take a book or some mags, if you're waiting around it can be really boring! It's fine once you get on set but up till then you need something to do, especially if you're on your own, zombies were playing cards when I was there!

Was a good day today, met up with Marty, had a masterclass on how to walk like a zombie, Simon Pegg just about recognised me and said hello (he was a bit unsure if it was me cos the last time he saw me I didn't have long hair), the lovely people at make-up gave me a lovely cut that looked like a massive love bite and was shackled to a van!

Long and tiring day but it was also great. Didn't meet many people from the board( cause some of you were the make up zombies). But I hope to see a few of you tomorrow.


From what I saw of the parts being filmed the film looks very good. And the Zombie Masterclass was a right laugh

lol yeah, though trying to walk like a zombie was actually quite difficult, and having to fall and get up in zombie character was a laugh.
