For those of you who cannot get to the cinema (or rather to the correct movies before which the Shaun Of The Dead trailer is shown), Spaced-Out has been informed that the trailer is available to view in full at the website of the film company responsible, Working Title.

And, in the humble opinion of this forum member, it is an absolutely cracking trailer!

If you go to the Working Title website (link below) and click on the 'Enter' button - Flash 6 plug-in required - up pops another page listing several sections and a 'latest news' insert. Currently, the Shaun Of The Dead trailer is listed as latest news as a First Look, but in case this changes in the near future, the trailer can also be accessed under the 'Forthcoming' section on the left hand menu. Thank criminy for broadband, though, is all I'll say! wink.gif

Many thanks to Spamfritta for pointing this out to us, and for Baz for providing the link to the Working Title website!

That is just TOO awesome for words.

Joyous!

This has made my day.

And the working title website is also wonderous in it's flashy glory.

You have to let it all load up to 100% and then click play again and it will play perfect.

Tell all your friends.

What if you don't have any?

Can you tell random people in the street, ignoring their uneasy stares?

Can you? CAN YOU?!?!?!

I need to know, goddammit!!!

Yes. In fact, that shall be your new mission for the month - report back here with details of every encounter you have with a stranger, Mizzie.

What threw me about this trailer is that it doesn't look like a cinema film. It still has a telly show feel to it. Was it shot on digi cams?

I do like the look of it, should be a nice little mockery of the remake of Dawn of the Dead!

Ruddy bloody brilliant.
If I wasn't excited before, I am now.
New trousers, please!

Nope, it is shot on celluloid, using lovely scope Arriflex lenses. It will look a damn-sight more cinematic when it unreels on the big screen.

We looked rather dashing in it. Or so our mum thought... wink.gif
Baz
Just watched it again. Great stuff, really can't wait for the film!

Just been browsing the rest of the Working Title site and CRIPES this film is in stupendous company. Besides the obvious Richard Curtis puff and nonsense (which is all I thought Working Title were good for) you've got Coen goodness and all sorts of the most dreamy of British output.
Bron
My smelly comp wont let me see it but I'm sure it's amazingly ace ... has anyone spotted themselves yet?

Working Title says the release date is June 2004, while Mr Pegg says it is April 9. Why dat? Anyone know?

I downloaded that last night but couldn't find the appropriate program to open it with, any tips?
Baz
You probably need to up date your video codecs. Just search for codec or Divx on goole and i'm sure you'll find some up to date ones.

EDIT:

Got to Divx.com

They have the most up todate codec.

The trailers actually made in flash... download the latest flash player at Macromedia and moving pictures and sound will be yours.
Harv
Might I suggest we all view the trailer as often as possible, to increase the bandwidth and hence the profile? That would be yummy smile.gif
Laurie
Tip top disco fudge!!!! I can't wait for this - even to witness Nick Frost minus the tache will be something in itself.
My film event of the decade!!

It's best to open it up in Internet Explorer (i.e. 'Open with...'), once you've got at least Flash 6 installed - it will run automatically in that case.
Raven
I think it's going to be difficult to watch the film without thinking "It's Tim and Mike!"

Like the Dire Straits joke smile.gif

This news still makes me feel all warm, and sadly I think is the main reason I have cheered up this week...unless it's just coincidence...
RichP

Eruanna
is it just me who can;t get to the site at the moment? typical...grrr

Dag nabbit!

Only reason i got out of the bloody bed was to get some headphones inorder to hear the lovely sound, and now workingtitle's gone down ARGH!
Baz

Either that or they've not paid there bill... and with apparently over $2,000,000,000 in film revenue I'd doubt that.
Baz
The web site seems to be up and runnig again. YAY!

Now don't break it this time, or i'll have to take it off you and lock it awway.[/Mum]

I really really hope this film is a success - I am so proud to have been down there at the filming and trained as a zombie (even if the buggers didnt use me in the end!) PS - someone better remeber me and invite me to the extras screening! biggrin.gif
RichP
As something of an afterthought, does anyone know anything about the music used in the trailer?
Amazongirl

Well, after trying 4 computers, i finally find one that had sound and wahoo! the trailers back on! I agree with whoever said watching it made them say "its tim and Mike"

I just say, "Like spaced? Closest thing to spaced film out soon, shaun of the dead, come get some!"
proppajob
Just seen it, and I have to say that it is looking very good indeed. Certainly whetts my apitite for the movie.

I like the look of this a lot, I really hope it does well for the cast and crew smile.gif

Now maybe if we could watch the trailer in Quicktime rather than the crummy Flash MX quicktime conversion, I'd be happier wink.gif

After 50 minutes DCCing via IRC on my crappy 56k dialup, I got to see the trailer. Totally worth it. It looks like it's gonna be a blast.

Saw it on a proper screen from a DVD today, and it was beautiful. Dear god it's going to be a spunk bubble of brilliance!
billypig
Just thought I'd say how much everything looks spunky dorey with this. Sent it round to other Spaced lovers and they're all getting excited too. Yay!
