Yup that Home Ec teacher is a bad bad actor and his little mate who is the supposed Kurt replacement character is very annoying so far.

is it just me or does the little one look a bit like joquin phoenix (sp)?

I guess Penny's character puts me off her. That and her hair. Of the 2 i agree Lindsey is the more attractive.
Jenny could be annoying but i loved the bit with the picture frame and her arse. mmmm

I have always tried to avoid it as being a teacher it felt a bit too close to home. I don't need to see a staff room on telly when I'm at home even though its funnier than the one at work.
However, I saw some of the new one and it wasn't an entirely bad experience. I liked the RE teacher being too ashamed of his subject to admit to the others what he taught.
My school is a church school and I often feel that people make assumptions about my beliefs as a result. But then again being a teacher I spend most of my day with people making assumptions about what I think and believe. It always freaks the kids out when they find out I don't believe in uniform.
Anyway it amused me enough to prehaps give it another go if there's nothing else on telly at that time.

Not seen this series before this episode and it's just rubbish. It's like they think continuity works no matter how crap the actors in the continuity are. I don't think it's 'jumped the shark' (which a shit expression btw and not one I used with any pride) as I don't think it's the writing, it's the actors. They started with a brilliant cast and now it's the dregs without an ounce of knowledge of how to make the part sympathetic. Nah it's just boring. Shame. They should have stopped two series ago.
I though tonights episode was quite good and had me laughing a lot. Best one so far this series, even though there's only been 3 episodes shown.

Was that really the best one? Christ. It seems a bit like saying that was the best song on a Robbie Williams album. Not really a recommendation.

Mostly from Bob as well.
The swearing.
Not the funniness of the show.

Still bad.
Shouldn't someone have burnt the home ec teacher on their bonfire last week? What with being made of wood and all, he'd have gone up a treat.

Nice.
Basically, Series 1 & 2 were great. Then Simon, Jenny and Rachel left by Series 3, and the leads were Brian and Kurt.
Well.
The ensemble were good for S1 & 2 , but speaking personally Brian and Kurt were not right for the leads for S3. The producers should have replaced the characters Simon, Jenny and Rachel (it WAS Rachel, wasn't it?).
The series now makes me think of depression within the teaching profession.
It doesn't make me laugh anymore.

I really liked Kurt and Brian as the leads - not as much as Simon and Susan (I think that's who you mean when you say Rachel) but they made a great comedy pair that got better as the series went on. They were slightly 2-dimensional, I grant you, but then Teachers was never
very deep, even in the much vaunted first series.
Now, the entire show is being carried by Vicky Hall's (Lindsay) sterling acting but she's getting increasingly marginalised by the continuing 'fat but funny' characterisation.

I haven't wanted to watch this latest series, after the shambles that was the first episode, but it isn't quite as bad as first impressions suggested.
I'll not be bothering to get, as I did for the first three, the DVD of this series, but I won't not watch it, if that makes sense!

I saw the guy who plays Bob in Canterbury Cathedral today. Whilst I was there on a trip. and I saw "kurt" in pub in London last week.
The question is are they following me or me following them.

God, last night's episode was hilarious!
Get this, right: Bob's got a Thai bride! And she might be a lady-boy! And she's really gormless and can't speak a word of English! And she's sex mad!
Racist is probably too strong a word. But 'weak', 'cliched' and 'piss-poor' certainly aren't.
What the hell are they playing at?

Well, I've given this series a chance and I must say that I'm just not getting on with it. I've only started watching Teachers this series, there are a few laugh out loud moments for me
I thought last nights one was the best of the series so far.
I must say though, I am quite enjoying this series and I'm not really missing Kurt and Brian.
I agree one of the best so far, tho I could not help but think how Kurt and Brian would have acted this week.
Still a pleasure to watch tho.

I missed the last couple, but saw most of last nights. It's still pretty crap, and this was brought home even more because I watched one of the episodes from the first series afterwards (episode 6 - the one where Susan has a bit of a breakdown). It's difficult to imagine these are both part of the same series - what's happened to the small dramas, the believable relationships and, especially, the dialogue? Bob incessantly saying 'fucking fuckety fuck fuck' does not a script make.

I missed it last night as I was out getting drunk.
Was the Christmas special one last night??
Was it any good??
Is it repeated??
I've just gone out and bought the 3rd series on dvd (finally) this lunch time.
